I've decided to sell off some of my own collections due to having too much! This is not an easy decision for me! Lots of items have sat on the shelf too many years without being used.
This is a gorgeous girl figurine with a bell that rings with a beautiful sound!
I've read that she is pictured on page 26 in the blue book, "Josef Originals, A Second Look" published in 1996 , she was valued at $30 - $40 at that time. Today she's worth more!
Beautifully dressed in a sky blue dress with an empire waistline and puffy sleeves. It's full skirt shows ruffles around the bottom, showing layers of white petticoats underneath her dress. Her matching sky blue sun bonnet has a large yellow bow on the side, she's carrying a brown wicker picnic basket covered with a pink cloth.
The 24 karat gold accents on this figurine gives her sparkle and shine! Areas such as her neckline, waist, sleeves, large yellow bow on her bonnet. Scattered over the front of her dress are many tiny yellow daisies, each with a shiny gold center. They are surrounded by glittering gold sponging. The girl has light brown curls peeking out from underneath her bonnet. Her face is expertly hand-painted with rosy cheeks, dark brown eyes and eyelashes, delicate eyebrows and cherry red lips.
This figurine / bell is in MINT condition! I can not find anything at all wrong with her!
She has the oval, black & gold "Josef Originals" foil sticker on the side of her dress, and a sticker underneath. She has the original clapper on a gold chain inside the bell.
This girl is approximately 4" tall and 3 1/4" wide and has a glossy glaze. Her colors are rich and vibrant and the glaze and intact gold gilt are bright and shiny.
